Are you looking to start a business or earn money building websites and apps for others? If so, no code tools may be the perfect solution for you.
In this post, we will go over six different no code tools that you can use to start building websites and apps for others - as well as some tools that bring some automation and organization.
Watch the video and/or read on to learn.
1. Carrd
Carrd is a simple website builder that allows you to build landing pages, portfolio sites, and simple sites. It is easy to use and customizable. At the time of writing this, the pro plan is generally more affordable than some of the more sophisticated website builders listed below.
The downside is that there is no CMS and no logic built into it. This limits anyone wanting to create sites with more advanced features.
There is limited design capabilities, no blogging or e-commerce features.
2. Webflow
Webflow is a more powerful website builder than Card and includes a CMS database (content management system) that allows you to create blog posts and templates and has a lot of back end data that can be shown dynamically on the front end.
It also has full customization capabilities that utilizes a drag and drop builder. No coding knowledge is required to build complex websites that will grow with your business.
No Code MBA is a website that was built entirely using Webflow, which showcases the platform's potential.
3. Bubble
While it has a higher learning curve than some other no-code tools, Bubble is an incredibly powerful platform that allows you to build complex, database-driven web apps without writing a single line of code.
In fact, the entire No Code MBA membership area was built using Bubble. From the courses to the membership and payment logic, everything is built on top of Bubble's robust database-driven platform. And while it may take a little longer to learn, the payoff is huge: with Bubble, you can build just about any web app you can imagine.
Another example of a web app is Trello, a popular project management tool. Trello's database-driven interface allows users to manage complex workflows and track progress on multiple projects in real-time.
Bubble is harder to learn than other no code tools, but it is one of the most powerful.
Glide is a tool for building simple web apps and mobile apps. It has a lower learning curve than Bubble and is ideal for getting started and creating the first version of an app. It is also ideal for internal apps that do not require significant customization.
It’s a great starter tool where you can build something simple to validate your idea. It’s not as customizable but definitely something to consider if you want to get something out there quickly.
5. Zapier
Let's move on to a tool that will connect everything together.
Zapier is an automation tool that allows you to connect different apps when there is no direct integration. Think of it as a middle man that automates tasks for you.
It is useful for internal automations within a company. For example, you can use Zapier to take a lead on Facebook and automatically send this to Slack and/or a tool such as Salesforce.
If the apps you’re using don’t have direct integrations, check out Zapier to see if you can connect them this way.
6. Airtable
Airtable is a no code tool that allows you to create databases and spreadsheets that can be customized to fit your needs.
I think of it as a combination between a Google/Excel Spreadsheet and a database. It can connect different spreadsheets together and it is great for creating internal tools and automating workflows.
Summary
No code tools are a great way to start a business or earn money building websites and apps for others. The six tools discussed in this blog post are Carrd, Webflow, Bubble, Glide, Zapier, and Airtable. Each tool has its strengths and weaknesses, but they all provide a simple and easy-to-use way to build websites and apps without the need for coding.
