What changed

Rime describes Prism as an end-to-end system that listens, produces inspectable response text, and continues listening while speaking. It supports parallel tool calls and text that can be reviewed before speech. Rime reports about 0.57 seconds to first audio in its own evaluation.

Access and availability

Create a Rime API key and use the Prism SDK quickstart in Python or Node.js, or connect to the documented Prism WebSocket endpoint from a backend.

What you can build

Evaluate it on a narrow voice workflow where you need both responsive conversation and a reviewable text checkpoint before an action.

Limitations

Rime's announcement does not publish pricing or detailed usage limits. It says self-serve reinforcement-learning and supervised-fine-tuning APIs are being built with beta customers; do not assume those training APIs are generally available.
