What changed

Kling 4.0 is Kuaishou's next video generation model. It generates single clips up to 30 seconds and supports Omni Reference with up to 15 multimodal references (images, videos and subjects) plus up to 10 keyframes, with prompts up to 8,000 tokens. Kuaishou also lists 4K and 1080p 10-bit HDR output and 21:9 framing, and says motion continuity improved in fast action and complex camera work. Kling 4.0 Flash opened limited early access on September 28, and Kuaishou says the full model launched on October 15.

Access and availability

Kling 4.0 is offered in the Kling AI Creative Studio on kling.ai. Flash early access went first to Black Gold annual members; Kling's API platform page does not say whether 4.0 is available through the API.

What you can build

When Kling 4.0 reaches general availability, test its multi-keyframe storyboard control for long-form and commercial video work, and compare per-generation cost and clip length with ByteDance Seedance 2.5.

Limitations

At the Flash preview, 10-bit HDR output and a 2-minute multi-generation extension were listed as coming soon. Kuaishou has not announced API availability or pricing for 4.0.
