What changed

Jais 3 is the third generation of the Jais Arabic and English models, released as six open checkpoints: dense 0.9B, 3.7B, 7B and 32B models, a 36B-A4B MoVA model and a 375B-A23B mixture-of-experts flagship, plus Uno variants. The flagship has a 512K-token context window, while the 0.9B card lists 128K. On its model card the 375B model scores 89.3 on Arabic MMLU and 70.2 on SWE-bench Verified (offline), though the same table shows Qwen3.5-397B ahead on several tests. Jais Speech, an Arabic speech recognition model, launched alongside.

Access and availability

Weights are on Hugging Face under the inception42 organization (for example inception42/Jais-3-375B-A23B) and the IFM/jais-3 collection, licensed Apache 2.0. The small models also ship GGUF and MLX builds.

What you can build

Evaluate the model family on representative Modern Standard Arabic and regional-dialect prompts, plus speech samples if using Jais Speech; check transcription and task completion against a reviewed baseline.

Limitations

The model cards say outputs can be inaccurate or fabricated and may reflect training-data bias, and list languages other than Arabic and English and unsupervised high-stakes decisions as out of scope. Benchmarks are developer-reported.
